Vote on Table Gaming

New legislation will be proposed which would put table gaming on the ballot.

Story by Julie Kroenig

Table games like black jack and poker could soon be played at West Virginia's four race tracks. Legislators are working on the issue. Management at Wheeling Island Race Track wants to see table gaming and they could if voters approve it. State Senator Andy McKenzie is putting together a bill right now that will give voters the chance to decide if they want it or not. Its not the first time McKenzie has introduced a bill for the state racing association. This time he has support from Senator Ed Bowman. The specifics of the new bill aren't being released yet. We're told that the tax rates in the bill are different this time. Stick with 7 News for the most complete coverage on this story as it develops in Charleston
