Police seek two suspects who robbed local poker game

Huntington Police Department reports provided the following information:

Two armed robbers made way with $15,085 from eight individuals during a local poker game at 12:03 a.m. Wednesday.

Witnesses told police that an approximately 30-year-old male and an approximately 20-year-old female kicked open the front door of an apartment in the 2600 block of Collis Avenue. The two armed suspects instructed the individuals to enter the apartment’s living room and demanded their money.

The suspects placed that money, along with money stolen from the playing table, inside a black nylon bag.

Both suspects fled the scene.

When arrested, the suspects will be charged with first-degree robbery.

SHOTS FIRED: Police responded to an apartment in the 2900 block of Fifth Avenue at 9:38 p.m. Tuesday when its tenant claimed that her landlord had fired two gunshots on her rented property.

The 18-year-old tenant told police that the landlord and another unknown male entered her apartment talking about a gas bill. She claimed the landlord was intoxicated and brandished a silver revolver.

She said the landlord fired one shot into her kitchen ceiling and another from her deck.

DRUG ARREST: Police arrested Terry L. Fisher, 55, of 840 Rear 12th Ave. Tuesday night and charged him with felony possession with intent.

The arrest took place in the 900 block of Ninth Avenue at 9:27 p.m. Tuesday.

Police reportedly confiscated a baggie of cocaine valued at $170, a paper with cell phone numbers and the accompanying cell phone.

Cabell County Sheriff’s Department reports provided the following information:

Deputies arrested Christopher Frye, 37, of 6103 East Pea Ridge Road and charged him with felony receiving/transferring stolen property. The arrest took place at Huntington’s Days Inn at 7:52 p.m. Tuesday.

Deputies contend Frye was inside a stolen 1995 Buick when arrested.

Frye was then arraigned and placed inside the Western Regional Jail.
