During the last four years, betting exchanges have revolutionized the market of sports betting in the United Kingdom, and are capturing a large share of the market from traditional bookmakers. In addition to sports, betting on political and entertainment events are also growing in popularity.
Betting exchanges act as online intermediaries between individual bettors (P2P), allowing them to bet against each other (on an undisclosed basis), usually taking a small commission from the winner.
