I won a qualifier:
"Congratulations on winning a $50,000 Guaranteed Sunday Night Poker qualifier. You have been registered to the $50,000 Guaranteed Sunday Night Poker tournament to be held on February 06th 2005 21:00 EST."
And this is what I finally got this evening, 06 MINUTES before the tournament was supposed to start and after sending 2 messages:
"We apologize for the inconvenience caused as due to some unforeseen circumstances the $50,000 Guaranteed Sunday Night Poker tournament for 6th February has been cancelled and the next $50,000 Guaranteed Sunday Night Poker tournament will be held on 13-FEB-2005 at 21:00 PM EST"
No warning, no nothing. I cancelled all my activities today and what I got?
"As we see that the free roll is available in your account so all you need to do is once the table will up in the lobby for the next week tournament just login to your account..."
A free roll until next week where they will probably find a new excuse, and a new free roll...
So they are 2 possibilities:
1) Empire Poker are a bunch of crooks, taking money from people with so-called "qualifiers", but there is no real tournaments. Never.
2) Empire Poker are a bunch of morons with no idea what "Taking care of business" means. Light's on, but nobody's home.
Take your pick, but please advertise Empire Poker's business conduct, or rather lack of it, on your Web Site.
Thank you.
