Poker fund-raiseraids hall’s upgrade

PELHAM - The Sherburne Hall Committee will host another Texas Hold 'Em fund-raiser on Saturday to raise money for renovations at the hall.

The tournament will be at the Pelham Fish and Game Club. Doors open at noon for registration and the game begins at 1 p.m. Free food and soft drinks will be available.

The town's municipal complex is a result of the town taking over the Sherburne school building after the building was vacated due to construction of a new elementary school.

The Sherburne Hall Committee is committed to raising the money by fund-raising and private donations to turn the gymnasium into an auditorium. The renovation work will include walls, floor and ceiling and heating and air conditioning.
