It looks like an off-track betting parlor won't be coming to Acadia Parish.
Saturday night, 76% of the people voted against the proposition and only 24% voted for it.
Local business owners in Acadia Parish were up in arms over the hot topic, fearing an off-track betting parlor would saturate the area with too much gambling.
Local businesses are excited about Saturday night's election results.

State law allows truck stops to house only 50 video poker machines and small restaurants can only house three machines.
