The NCAA has named it's field of 65 for the Men's National
Championship Tournament, and the University of Dayton is proud
to announce the 10 teams that will be participating in Opening
Round and First and Second Round at UD Arena. The teams are as
follows: North Carolina, Murray State, Michigan State, George
Mason, Ohio State, Davidson, Georgetown, Northern Iowa, Hampton
and Monmouth. All tickets for Friday and Sunday's games have
been sold out; however tickets are still available for the
Opening Round Game on Tuesday between Monmouth and Hampton.
Tickets can be purchased through the UD Arena Ticket Office at
(937) 229-4433. Times for all of the First and Second Round
games are TBA, and the Opening Round Game is slated for Tueday
at 7:30 p.m. EST. The Washington, D.C. Region brings defending national champion,
and number three seeded North Carolina to UD Arena to play
number 14 seeded Murray State. North Carolina is coming off of
an ACC semifinals appearance on Saturday and bring with them 22
total wins, a 12-4 ACC record and one of the nation's most
feared freshmen in six-foot-nine-inch-tall Tyler Hansboro, who
averages 19.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game for the Tar
Heels.
