Houston, TX, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission cited 64 people for Class C misdemeanor gambling for participating in a Texas Hold 'Em poker tournament in Houston.
"It is illegal to gamble in a public place, and any place licensed to sell alcohol is, by definition, a public place," said Capt. Keith Coleman after Tuesday's bust at the Yorkshire Pub, the Houston Chronicle reported.
Law-enforcement officials did not confiscate any money or arrest any players. It was the second time the TABC broke up a poker tournament at the Yorkshire.
