Absolute Poker Hosts a $100,000 Tournament This Weekend

First Place Will Pay a Minimum of $25,000 to the Winner

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica, Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Absolute Poker
(http://www.AbsolutePoker.com) one of the world's largest online poker sites,has announced that this Saturday's $150 entry tournaments will now have a guaranteed prize pool of at lease $100,000. This is the largest tournament that the site has hosted to date, and will award the first place finisher a minimum prize of 25,000. The tournament format is No Limit Texas Holdem, the same game that is played in the annual World Series of Poker.

The tournament begins at 4:30 p.m. EST, Saturday, December 17, and Absolute Poker is running satellite tournaments for entry into this event several times every day. Players can win entry into the main, $100,000 event for as little as $3 by placing among the top finishers in these satellites.

The main event will be limited to the first 2,000 entrants. The same
tournament for a minimum $100,000 will be held on each subsequent Saturday at the same time.
